IOTA CLUB & CAFÉ TEAMING UP WITH NOVA PRIDE, BRINGING WEEKLY LGBTQ & FRIENDS NIGHT TO ARLINGTON

(McLean, VA) August 4, 2014 –NOVA Pride (www.novapride.org), the premiere nonprofit organization dedicated to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) community of Northern Virginia, is proud to announce they are teaming up with IOTA Club & Café (www.iotaclubandcafe.com), at 2832 Wilson Blvd., in Clarendon for a weekly LGBTQ & Friends Night – every Tuesday, beginning August 5th!  Patrons 21 and over, regardless of how or whom they love, are encouraged to come together for a night of unity.

Siblings Stephen Negrey and Jane Negrey Inge have co-owned IOTA since its opening in 1994, and were quoted saying, “It seems the LGBT community and their straight friends might benefit from a reliable place and a routine time to cross-pollinate… We hope people will come to IOTA on Tuesdays to party and meet people working on LGBT events.”  They plan on flying the rainbow flag on Wilson Boulevard every Tuesday in display of the venue’s support for inclusion and unity.

"NOVA Pride is excited to partner up with IOTA to add an LGBTQ element to the scene in Clarendon.  Jane and Stephen share our vision: to start bringing local LGBTQ groups and the whole pro-equality community together, with no ego or agenda other than to celebrate our area's diversity.  I think people are going to really enjoy coming in every Tuesday!" said Brian Reach, NOVA Pride President and Executive Director.

NOVA Pride is thankful to be welcomed by IOTA, and excited for this opportunity to connect with the Arlington LGBTQA community. The timing could not be better for NOVA Pride, with hopes to use this as a way to build excitement and awareness of their first annual Northern Virginia Pride Festival on October 5th of this year.
