Fostering Community

Engaging leaders, encouraging collaboration, connecting resources.

Fighting for Healthy Childhoods

NOVA Pride advocates on behalf of community members, connects parents and families to community resources and provides them healthy and safe opportunities to engage.

NOVA Pride held the largest Pride Prom in the region's history, wrote the LGBTQ+ chapter for the Fairfax Partnership for Youth handbook, and successfully advocated for local school systems to extend health care plans to include LGBTQ+ employees and their needs.

Community Events

NOVA Pride has held more than 500 events throughout the area, promoting community and celebrating diversity through social interaction that foster connection and visibility.

Pride Month Proclamations

NOVA Pride advocated for, and in many cases wrote, the LGBTQ+ Pride Month proclamations now issued throughout the Northern Virginia region every June.
